Ghaziabad: A tragic boiler explosion at a textile factory in Dateri village, under the Bhojpur police station jurisdiction, resulted in the deaths of three workers and injured six others early Friday morning.

The accident, which occurred around 5 a.m., has raised significant alarms regarding safety protocols at the factory. Local police promptly arrived at the scene to investigate the explosion’s cause. The deceased have been identified as Yogendra from Modinagar, Anuj from Bhojpur, and Awadhesh from Jewar. Meanwhile, the injured workers were quickly transported to the hospital for medical care.

Witnesses reported that chaos erupted in the factory, which specializes in manufacturing cardboard rolls, as workers scrambled for safety following the explosion.

Anuj’s brother, Sachin Kumar, expressed anger over the lack of safety measures in the factory, claiming, “There are no safety protocols in place. My brother had worked here for three years, and today this tragedy occurred! We urge for strict action against the factory owner.”

Another worker, Lucky, recounted the moments leading up to the explosion, stating, “The furnace was operational, and excessive heat built up in the compressor without anyone noticing. Safety measures were inadequate, and the accident resulted from negligence.”
