The inauguration comes after approval from Chandigarh, with Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak scheduled to personally launch the facilities. With this addition, the total number of Aam Aadmi Clinics in the district will rise to 28, each catering to a population of around 10,000 to 15,000 people.

Modern Facilities and Free Services for Patients
These clinics will provide outpatient (OPD) services, 47 types of diagnostic tests, and anti-rabies vaccinations. Patients will also benefit from 102 types of medicines available free of cost.

The recruitment of doctors, pharmacists, and support staff has already been completed, ensuring immediate availability of services once the clinics become operational. Existing clinics in the district have already served over 10 lakh patients in OPD services over the past three and a half years, with nearly 4.25 lakh lab tests conducted free of charge.

Investment and Locations of New Clinics
The six clinics have been developed at a total cost of approximately ₹1.5 crore. Key locations include Sally Kulian (old Excise building), Kali Mata Mandir Road, Kachha Quarter, Daulatpur, Lamini, and Abrol Nagar.

Additionally, a clinic under construction at a gravel company site, costing around ₹20.63 lakh, is expected to be completed in early April and will begin operations from April 15.

More Clinics in Pipeline
Following this expansion, the Health Department plans to construct four more clinics in the district. These will be set up in Malikpur, Bhoa, Jhakolahadi village, and Sherpur at an estimated cost of ₹37.18 lakh. Tenders have already been issued, and officials expect completion within four months of allotment.

Officials Oversee Launch and Operations
Dr. Sunita Sharma will oversee the opening of the six clinics, while Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak will visit select locations including Kali Mata Mandir and Abrol Nagar. Other leaders, including Vibhuti Sharma, will inaugurate the remaining centers.

With infrastructure ready and staff in place, the initiative is being seen as a major step toward accessible, affordable, and efficient healthcare delivery in the region.
