AAP MLA, BJP Leaders Clash In Nawanshahr Amid Heated Exchange During Public Event

Across Punjab, protests being held against the ED raids by AAP MLAs, ministers, and workers are escalating to physical altercations. One such incident occurred in Balachaur, Nawanshahr district. Here, a debate broke out between Dr. Sukhvinder Sukhi, MLA from Banga, and Rajvinder Lucky, BJP district president from Nawanshahr.

In the meantime, MLA Sukhi tried to snatch the mobile from Lucky. At that time, Lucky was covering the AAP protest live on his mobile, which captured the entire commotion on video.

BJP district president Rajvinder Lucky said that around 11 a.m., when AAP workers and MLA Sukhi came to the office, I personally offered them water. I even said that we were expecting more of you to come because arrangements for tea and water were made for more people. Take rest and protest peacefully.

After this, the worker entered their office. He picked up the microphone and speaker kept there. I told him that you are a trolley thief and now you are also taking the microphone and speaker. Saying this, I went inside and started the live. Meanwhile, from behind, the worker came up to my chair and started snatching the mobile. Lucky claimed that MLA Sukhi, while showing authority, said that we will see you.

10 minutes of altercation

There was a 10-minute altercation between the two sides at the BJP office in Balachaur. After that, the police intervened and calmed both parties. Following this, Aam Aadmi Party workers shouted slogans and then left the place. After this incident, the senior leadership of the BJP took note of the matter. Regarding this, BJP president Sunil Jakhar wrote on X that the hooliganism of the AAP is now exposed to everyone.

After that, Ravneet Bittu also wrote on X that AAP workers have started attacking the BJP. First in Ludhiana and then in Nawanshahr, hooliganism was witnessed. Meanwhile, in this matter, BJP’s acting president Ashwani Sharma is reaching Nawanshahr in the evening. There, a press conference will be held, and a complaint will be submitted to the SSP of Nawanshahr against the MLA and AAP workers for attacking.

Know what happened at the Balachaur BJP office

Claim of offering water and tea to AAP workers on a protest – BJP district president Rajvinder Lucky from Nawanshahr claimed that as soon as AAP workers reached their office in Balachaur and started raising slogans, they offered them water and tea. Rajvinder said that he even remarked that they had come in very small numbers; they had arranged for 100-150 people. These days it is hot, so it is a duty to offer water. Among us, there is a battle of political ideology, not personal enmity.

As soon as you started sloganeering, BJP also did the same: As soon as you started sloganeering outside the office, the BJP workers sitting there also started sloganeering. Since it was a BJP office, all the equipment including speaker and microphone were inside. When BJP workers started giving speeches on the speaker and raising slogans, it turned into a competition. From your side, slogans were being raised like ‘Whenever BJP gets scared, it sends the ED forward,’ whereas from BJP’s side, the slogan was ‘Sab phade janenge’ (Everyone will be caught). The BJP slogans on the speaker were overpowering your voice, which irritated some of your workers.
Attempt to snatch the speaker and microphone: Rajvinder Lucky claimed that when their slogans were being shouted loudly, your workers tried to snatch the speaker and microphone. On this, BJP workers argued that your leaders have been accused of being trolley thieves, and now you have also become thieves of the mic and speaker. Rajvinder said that after being called trolley thieves, they went inside the office and started showing your incident live.

Everything went haywire because of going live: Rajvinder said that as soon as I went inside and started the live, the MLA also arrived there with some workers. They thought I was taking their photo, so they tried to snatch the mobile. Lucky claims that the MLA threatened them and said he would teach them a lesson. Lucky said that he will complain to the police about this, but for now, he is waiting for the Punjab leadership to arrive.

Lakki, who was the president of Punjab University, has also contested elections from Congress.

Before this, he had contested elections at Punjab University and had served as president. He also mentioned that he has contested elections from Congress’s seat in Banga.

Now he is in BJP and is playing the role of district president. He said that Dr. Sukhhi also came to AAP from Akali Dal. Perhaps he felt that his stature was diminishing in front of Rajwinder, which is why he attacked.
