AAP-Linked Sarpanch Shot Dead at Wedding in Tarn Taran

Tarn Taran (Punjab): In a shocking incident that occurred in broad daylight in Tarn Taran district on Tuesday, Harbrinder Singh, the current Sarpanch of Thathian Mahanta village, was shot dead by unknown assailants. He is reported to have been associated with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The incident occurred during a wedding ceremony.

Firing at Wedding Ceremony
According to preliminary information, the Sarpanch had arrived at a private marriage palace to attend a wedding ceremony and was sitting with his close friends when two to three armed assailants suddenly entered the premises and opened fire indiscriminately. The attackers specifically targeted Harbrinder Singh, who died on the spot.

Cousin Injured, Condition Critical
His cousin, Germanjit Singh, was also seriously injured in the firing incident. He was immediately admitted to a nearby hospital and is reported to be in critical condition.

Police engaged in investigation, area cordoned off
Upon receiving information about the incident, senior police officers arrived at the scene with a heavy police force. The area has been sealed off and a search operation has been launched to locate the accused. Forensic teams are investigating the scene and examining footage from nearby CCTV cameras.
