Chandigarh/Bahadurgarh. In Haryana, INLD (Indian National Lok Dal) party state president and former MLA Nafe Singh Rathi was shot dead by some people on Sunday evening. One of his colleagues also died in the attack while two others were seriously injured.
The incident was carried out near Barahi gate of Bahadurgarh in Jhajjar. Since the attack, opposition parties in the state have surrounded the Haryana government. According to the information received from the police, when INLD state president Nafe Singh Rathi was attacked by some people, Nafe Singh Rathi was sitting on the front seat of the Fortuner car. The attackers had come in an I-20 car.
The bullets fired by the attackers hit Nafe Singh Rathi in the neck and waist. Apart from this, a security personnel traveling in the Fortuner car along with Nafe Singh Rathi also lost his life in the attack. All the people injured in the attack were taken to the hospital. Where Nafe Singh Rathi was declared dead after medical examination.
Apart from this, a security personnel Jaikishan also died. The two people who are undergoing treatment have bullet wounds on their chest, thighs and shoulders. Who are undergoing treatment in ICU. During this time, Jaikishan and gunman Sanjeet were also with him in the car. Driver Sanjay was driving the car.
CCTV footage of the attackers surfaced
In the murder case of INLD state president Nafe Singh Rathi, a CCTV footage just before the murder has surfaced. In which a white car is seen chasing the Fortuner car of Nafe Singh Rathi. The attackers sitting in this vehicle are also visible. The attackers are also seen talking on the phone in the CCTV footage.
Speaking over the investigation into the murder of INLD Chief Nafe Singh Rathee, Deputy Superintendent of Police Jhajjar on February 26 said an FIR has been registered and evidence is being collected and they are also checking the suspected car. Meanwhile, family members of the late INLD Chief condoled his demise and said it was a political murder and once the accused are arrested then only they will go for the post-mortem of the body. Jhajjar DSP, Shamsher Singh said, “We have registered an FIR on the basis of the complaint received. Five teams have been constituted with 2 DSPs to arrest the accused. Investigation is underway. We are collecting physical and scientific evidence.”
