Amritsar : A young man was shot dead outside the Hakima Gate police station in Amritsar. The youth was kidnapped three months ago and then the police traced and returned the ransom.
At present, according to the police, the accused had an old enmity with the friends of the deceased. He was killed because of an old rivalry. The police have identified the accused and will soon arrest them.
According to sources, late last night Binu, a resident of Rambagh, was traveling in the Gate Hakima area with his two friends Harjeet and Sanju. Where two youths riding a bike shot him and he died.
The accused were chasing Binu’s car, after which Binu turned the car towards the police station and was shot outside the police station. After which the police officer took him to the hospital where he died.
Binu was kidnapped three months ago
The mother of deceased Binu says that her son was kidnapped three months ago, for which she had paid a ransom of Rs 3 lakh to a young man named Longi.
She said the D Division police later returned the ransom money to her and she also told the police that she did not want to take any action against the people who had kidnapped her son.
