Ambedkar Jayanti Marked in Dehradun, Khajan Das Tribute

Dehradun, April 14: Social Welfare Minister Khajan Das paid homage to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar today on the occasion of his birth anniversary. He paid tribute to the ‘Architect of the Constitution’ by garlanding the statue of Baba Saheb located at Ambedkar Park near the Clock Tower (Ghanta Ghar) and on DL Road in the state capital, Dehradun.

On this occasion, while extending his greetings to all fellow citizens on Ambedkar Jayanti, he appealed for active participation in the task of nation-building.

A Message of Equality and Fraternity

Minister Khajan Das stated that this day conveys to us a message of equality, justice, and fraternity. Citing Baba Saheb’s famous mantra, he urged everyone to always remain steadfast in their efforts to build an egalitarian society by embracing the ideals of “Educate, Agitate, and Organize.”

An Unforgettable Contribution to the Making of Modern India

Recalling Baba Saheb’s contributions, the Social Welfare Minister remarked, “Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar was a living institution of democracy. The contribution he made to the construction of modern India is unforgettable. His entire life was dedicated solely to human welfare.” He further added that Baba Saheb was the greatest icon of social justice one who rose from a Dalit family to become the first Law Minister of independent India. Society can never forget his invaluable contributions.
