Amit Shah’s mega event in Haridwar on March 7, CM Dhami takes charge

Haridwar: Preparations have intensified in Uttarakhand for Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s proposed visit on March 7. Ahead of the event, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami arrived in Haridwar on Tuesday and inspected the arrangements on the spot.

Inspection of Bairagi Camp, Strict Instructions to Officials

The Chief Minister inspected the event venue at Bairagi Camp. He reviewed preparations for security, parking, traffic arrangements, drinking water, and electricity supply.

He instructed officials to ensure there is no laxity and that all preparations are completed ahead of time. He directed them to take special care with crowd management and traffic planning to ensure no inconvenience to devotees and local residents.

Special Exhibition on New Criminal Laws

A special exhibition on three new criminal laws implemented by the Central Government will be held at the event. It will provide information about new laws, including the Indian Penal Code (BNS), in simple language.

Through the exhibition, the public will be informed about how these laws have made the justice system more effective, transparent, and faster, and what benefits it will provide to the public.

Achievements of the Double Engine Government in Four Years

This mega event will also showcase the achievements of the state’s “double engine” government over four years. A glimpse of the developments in the infrastructure, investment, and tourism sectors will be presented.

In addition, information about the state’s future development roadmap will also be presented to the public.

Massive Public Participation Expected

Speaking to the media after the inspection, Chief Minister Dhami said that the March 7th event will be a major public event. Workers, officials, saints, and representatives of social and religious organizations from all assembly constituencies across the state will participate.

He clarified that elections will be held on schedule, but it is the government’s duty to present an account of its work to the public.

Uttarakhand citizens stranded in Iran in touch with the government

The Chief Minister also reviewed the situation of Uttarakhand citizens stranded in Iran. He stated that the state government is in constant contact with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Prime Minister’s Office. Coordination is also being maintained through the Resident Commissioner’s office in Delhi to ensure the safe return of people if needed.

Preparations for the Chardham Yatra and Kumbh in the final stages

The Chief Minister also reviewed the preparations for the upcoming Chardham Yatra. He said that all arrangements are in the final stages to provide better facilities to the pilgrims this year.

In addition, extensive preparations are being made at the administrative level to ensure a grand and divine Kumbh Mela, which he himself is regularly reviewing.
