Dehradun, Uttarakhand: A serious incident has been reported from Dehradun, where a BJP Mandal Vice President was allegedly targeted in a planned attack involving a vehicle and firearm.
Clash Originated From Earlier Police Station Dispute
According to the complaint filed by Harsh Walia, 26, Vice President of the BJP Yuva Morcha Mandal and resident of Nayagaon Chandrabani, the incident is linked to a heated argument at the Clement Town police station on April 18.
The altercation reportedly took place while he had gone to report an assault on an acquaintance.
He alleged that he had an argument with Hardik Sharma, Abhishek Verma, Abhinav Kakran, and Chetan Sharma, during which he was also threatened.
Alleged Coordinated Attack on April 20
Walia stated that on April 20 between 4:00 and 4:30 pm, while he was riding his bike near Gautam Kund, a Swift car first crossed his path, followed by an i20 vehicle that allegedly rammed into his motorcycle with intent to kill.
After he fell, it is alleged that Hardik Sharma and Abhishek Verma got out of the car and one of them pointed a pistol at his head.
Another group allegedly arrived in a Swift car and attempted to forcibly abduct him.
Victim Escapes by Jumping Over Wall
As locals gathered after hearing the commotion, the victim reportedly managed to escape by jumping over a nearby wall into an open plot, saving his life.
The accused allegedly fled the spot, abandoning the damaged i20 car.
The collision reportedly caused severe damage to the motorcycle and also damaged a nearby house wall.
