The objective of this initiative was not merely to reach the office but to convey a strong message regarding energy conservation, environmental protection, and responsible governance.

Not Just Orders: Setting a Personal Example

It is often observed that discussions regarding “No Vehicle Days” or environmental conservation remain confined solely to meetings and government files. However, the Director General of information has proven that change must always begin with oneself. By personally walking the path he has consistently urged his officers and employees to follow, he has set a compelling example today.

An Appeal to Embrace Public Transport and Carpooling

This initiative was undertaken in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for energy conservation and the directives issued by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The Director General of information has appealed to all officers and employees to utilize alternatives such as public transport, carpooling, or cycling for their daily commute to the office.
