According to Barnala police, at 7 am on Friday, a report was received about two bodies in a room in Tallewal village of Mahal Kalan in Barnala. When the police arrived, the girl’s body was lying on the bed, which was covered with a blanket, and the young man’s body was hanging from a noose. Both bodies were taken out of the room and sent for a postmortem.
According to the police, an examination of the documents found in the room revealed that the deceased youth was Parvinder Singh (30) a resident of Kaunke in Machhiwara, and the girl was Baljit Kaur (25), also a resident of Aligarh village in Jagraon. When the police inquired around, they came to know that the room from which the body was found was the house of an NRI.
