Bathinda: Youth Found Dead on Road, Drug Angle Suspected

The body of a young man was found on the road near Ganesh Basti in Bathinda on Sunday morning. After this incident, people gathered in the area and informed the police. The police have started investigating the case. There was an injection on the young man’s stomach. Initially, this case is suspected to be related to death due to drugs, but the police are not ready to disclose anything yet.

Sonu Maheshwari, president of Bathinda Youth Welfare Society, stated that they received information in the morning that a body was lying near GT Road, Ganesh Basti, and Lane Number 6. Various teams of the society reached the spot, where an injection was also found near the body.

SHO Ravinder Singh of Civil Lines Police Station stated that they also received information about a body being found on Ganesh Basti Road. Preliminary investigation has not found any clues near the body that could help identify it.

 Body was taken to the hospital

The police, with the help of the Youth Welfare Society, have kept the body in the mortuary of Bathinda Civil Hospital for 72 hours. The SHO stated that if any relatives come, the body will be subjected to a post-mortem and statements will be recorded. The police say that further action will be taken based on the facts revealed in the post-mortem report. The case is being investigated from different aspects.
