Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s Akal Takht Appearance Rescheduled

Jakandhar: Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s scheduled appearance at the Akal Takht in Amritsar on January 15th has been changed. A statement from the Akal Takht Secretariat stated that Mann should now arrive at 4:30 PM on January 15th instead of 10 AM. The Akal Takht has asked Mann for clarification regarding his statements and a viral video

Decision Linked to President’s Amritsar Visit

Following this, the Chief Minister stated that President Draupadi Murmu had a program in Amritsar on January 15th, but he would not be able to attend and would instead appear at the Akal Takht. The Akal Takht has taken this decision in light of this statement.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had stated that he would go to the Akal Takht barefoot. He also requested the Jathedar to broadcast the entire matter live after he provided the account of the Golak along with evidence.

However, no statement has yet been issued by the Jathedar regarding this matter. Since the Chief Minister is not an Amritdhari Sikh, he has been asked to appear at the Secretariat instead of the Akal Takht Fasil.
