Bhagwant Mann Press Conference Today: Expected to Take Aggressive Stand Against BJP and Opposition

In the midst of the situation arising from 7 out of 10 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MPs joining the BJP, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann will hold a press conference in Chandigarh today (April 29). In this conference, he will attack the central government and the BJP. He had given indications of this yesterday.

He had called a press conference. In conversation with journalists, he had said that the answers to the questions he came with today will be given in the press conference scheduled for tomorrow. After this, the CM posted in the evening after a cabinet meeting, informing that on a date in May-on-May Day, he is calling a special session that will be dedicated to workers. During this, employee leaders will be invited for the session.

Mann is the biggest traitor

Since the Aam Aadmi Party’s MPs joined the BJP, politics in the state has heated up. AAP supporters have surrounded the houses of those MPs. The word ‘traitor’ has even been written outside their homes. The CM has also called them traitors. Meanwhile, at a press conference in Chandigarh on Tuesday, BJP’s acting president Ashwani Sharma struck back.

He said that if changing parties is betrayal, then Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is the biggest ‘traitor’ because he also left his previous party (People’s Party of Punjab). Sharma alleged that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has remained silent on the corruption allegations made against the AAP government by Raghav Chadha and other leaders.

He called Mann a ‘puppet’ who is trying to distract from the real issues. He said that the government is misusing the assembly session to hide its failures and is spreading lies and confusion against the center, creating enmity among the people.

Punjab Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa had claimed in a press conference a few days ago that 60 to 65 MLAs from the Aam Aadmi Party are going to switch parties. He claimed that a ‘Maharashtra-like’ political upheaval is going to happen in Punjab. The Maharashtra ship has arrived at Mohali. The person who will board this ship will be CM Bhagwant Mann. He had called the CM ‘the Eknath Shinde of Punjab’.
