Brutality in Gorakhpur: 12-year-old boy abducts and rapes 9-month-old girl; accused in custody

Gorakhpur: A very sensitive and heartbreaking incident has come to light from Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh. In the Gulriha police station area, a 12-year-old boy allegedly abducted and raped a 9-month-old girl sleeping next to her mother. Police acted swiftly and took the accused minor into custody.

Innocent girl disappears from her mother’s side at midnight

According to family sources, this horrific incident occurred between Friday and Saturday night. The girl suddenly disappeared from her mother’s side at around 2 a.m. Panicked, the family immediately launched a frantic search for her in the village and surrounding fields.

On Saturday morning, the girl was found bleeding and writhing in pain near a tin shed in a deserted field, about 500 meters from her home.

Hospitalized, condition critical

The family immediately took the girl to the nearest Community Health Center (CHC), where, seeing her critical condition, doctors immediately referred her to BRD Medical College. According to the police, the girl’s medical examination confirmed sexual assault. She is currently undergoing treatment at the medical college, where her condition remains critical.

Shocking revelations in the investigation: Addiction to pornographic videos and alcohol

Recognizing the seriousness of the case, police launched an investigation immediately after receiving information about the incident. After questioning family members, parents, and grandparents, police suspicion fell on a 12-year-old distant relative of the victim, who had arrived in the village from Chandigarh three days earlier.

Police detained the suspected juvenile on Sunday. Initially, he gave misleading statements, but upon rigorous interrogation, he confessed to the crime.

Motive for the crime: The juvenile accused told police that he had been drinking alcohol on the night of the incident. Just before kidnapping the innocent girl, he had viewed a large amount of pornographic content on his mobile phone.

Search history shocked police: When investigators searched the accused’s mobile phone, they found over 50 pornographic video downloads and a search history of over 100 pornographic websites.

Police action

Official statement: Gorakhpur Superintendent of Police (City) Nimesh Patil confirmed the case and said, “The victim is being treated in the hospital and is being monitored by a team of doctors. The accused minor has been taken into custody and further legal and judicial action is being taken.”

This incident has once again raised serious questions about the increasing screen time among minors, easy access to pornographic content, and the serious consequences of drug addiction.
