BSF and Punjab Police recover Drone along with Heroin in Amritsar

Amritsar: On 23rd December 2023, during morning hours, on specific information of BSF, regarding the presence of a drone, a Joint search operation was launched by BSF and Punjab Police on the outskirts of Village – Bhaini Rajputana, District – Amritsar. Further, during the search Operation, at about 10:58 am, a drone along with 01 pkt of contraband item suspected to be Heroin (Gross Wt – 540 Gms) (wrapped with yellow adhesive tape and attached with drone) from the farming field adjacent to Village – Bhaini Rajputana.

The recovered drone is a Quadcopter (Model – DJI Mavic 3 Classic, made in China). Yet another attempt of smugglers to smuggle narcotics via drone was foiled by joint efforts of BSF and Punjab Police.
