Budget announcements in Barmer-Balotra: Road, sports, water pipeline, and health projects

Barmer: Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumari announced several important road projects in Barmer and Balotra districts.

Major works include:

* Jetsar, Rawa-Somesar Link Road, from Karninagar Fanto to Chandsar Headquarters, RPRAV Bosiyon Meghwalon Ki Dhani, Viramsingh Nagar, Chohatan Barmer – ₹2.60 crore
* Various road works in Pachpad, Balotra – ₹13.90 crore
* Shiv to Kotda Road (15 km) – ₹4 crore
* Construction of CD and BT road from Kanana to Kumpas, 3 km – ₹3.73 crore
* New BT road from Kalyanpur to Arbad Dudtwan, 4 km – ₹2 crore
* Widening and strengthening of Kawas-Bhimra-Batadu-Undu Road, 7 km – ₹8.40 crore

Water Supply and Pipeline Projects
₹4.77 crore has been allocated for a new drinking water pipeline from Korana to Chandrai (Kalyanpur). Additionally, a detailed project report (DPR) will be prepared to channel water from the Jojri and Bandi rivers to the Pachpadra Refinery.

Sports Infrastructure

A mini sports stadium will be constructed in Taratara, Barmer district, and a synthetic hockey ground will be developed in Siwana, Balotra district, promoting youth sports and development.

Health Initiatives

A new Ayushman Health Temple will be established in Khara Rathod Ramsar, improving local healthcare facilities.

These announcements were made after the budget presented in the Assembly on January 11th was discussed, which prioritized development in the road, water, sports, and health sectors in Barmer and Balotra.
