Census 2027 Training Begins in Ranikhet

Ranikhet, April 20: Preparations for the first phase of the 2027 Census have commenced in Ranikhet. Under this initiative, the tasks of house listing and house enumeration will be undertaken. In this context, a three-day training camp for enumerators and trainers has been inaugurated at the Cantonment Intermediate College in Ranikhet.

3-day camp trains 44 staff for door-to-door survey

This training camp is being held from April 20 to April 22. During the camp, enumerators are receiving detailed instructions regarding the process of conducting door-to-door visits to collect data. The camp involves a total of 44 census personnel and supervisors, including Cantonment Board Administrative Officer Rama Negi, School Principal Bhuvan Pandey, Ranikhet Cantonment Officer-in-Charge Rajendra Pant, Chilianaula Municipality Officer-in-Charge Rajesh Budhani, Computer Programmers Akeel Ahmed and Aditya Saxena, and Field Trainers Dr. Prem Sagar and Sahil Sharma.

House listing drive from April 25 to May 24

Officials stated that the house listing and enumeration exercise will commence on April 25 and continue until May 24, 2026. During this period, enumerators will visit households to collect information in accordance with the prescribed format. The officials have urged all participants to discharge their duties responsibly and to complete their assigned targets within the stipulated timeframe.
