PM Modi Says Centre’s Push Driving All-Round Northeast Development

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a letter to Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, highlighting the Centre’s unprecedented development push in Northeast India and its role in transforming economic and social infrastructure across the region.

The Prime Minister said the government’s focused policies are bringing holistic progress, connectivity and improved quality of life to people in all Northeastern states.

 Focus on All-Round Growth

In his letter, PM Modi emphasized that the Centre’s initiatives have led to advancements in transportation, tourism, healthcare, education, energy and digital connectivity in the Northeast.

He noted that ongoing investments and landmark projects such as new highways, rail links and airport expansions are integrating the region more deeply with the national economy and attracting greater private sector participation.

 Inclusive Development and Local Empowerment

The Prime Minister also underlined efforts to boost local employment, promote regional industries and preserve cultural heritage across Northeastern states including Arunachal Pradesh.

Modi stated that people of the Northeast are central to India’s growth story, and the government remains committed to ensuring that every citizen benefits from progress and opportunity.
