Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann leaves for Bengaluru for a week-long Vipassana session

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has left for Bengaluru for a week-long Vipassana retreat. During this time, he will stay at a private naturopathic centre to focus on improving his health through naturopathy, yoga, meditation and a special diet. According to government sources, routine government work will continue without any disruption despite his absence.

The Chief Minister has been busy with political events, administrative meetings and official duties for quite some time. Acting on medical advice, he has planned this week-long health regimen.

    Meditation on Naturopathy and Vipassana

In Bengaluru, the Chief Minister will follow a special diet and a regimen of body detoxification, yoga, meditation, and naturopathy. He will undergo regular health check-ups under the supervision of expert doctors; adjustments to the treatment and diet plan will be made as required. Sources suggest that he will also participate in Vipassana and meditation sessions during this period.

This is not the first time that the Chief Minister has gone for Vipassana; it is worth noting that Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann have been regularly visiting meditation centres in the past too. According to sources, this time, apart from the Chief Minister, two senior leaders of AAP Punjab have also already visited the meditation centre.

Completion of essential tasks before departure

Before leaving for Bengaluru, the Chief Minister reviewed several major development projects in the state. He inaugurated works related to various schemes and issued necessary instructions to the officials to ensure that development activities are not affected during his absence.

Government sources say that all departments will function normally during the Chief Minister’s absence. Administrative work will continue as usual, and the Chief Minister will be in touch with the officials to take necessary decisions, if necessary.
