During consultations with government officials and business leaders, the industry body highlighted the need for strategic policy measures to address uncertainties arising from the conflict and its impact on global trade, energy security and supply chains.

    CII Applauds Government’s Proactive Measures

CII commended the Centre for its proactive diplomatic engagement, efforts to protect Indian citizens abroad, and policy actions to keep economic disruptions in check. The industry body noted that timely government interventions have helped ease concerns among businesses dealing with cross‑border trade and international partnerships. Members acknowledged that the West Asia situation has created economic headwinds, prompting a need for coordinated responses from both government and industry stakeholders.

12‑Point Agenda to Strengthen Industry Preparedness

As part of its recommendations, CII outlined a 12‑point industry agenda focusing on:

    • Enhancing supply chain resilience
    • Diversifying export markets
    • Strengthening energy security and alternative sources
    • Facilitating credit flow for MSMEs
    • Supporting innovation and digital transformation

The agenda also emphasizes workforce upskilling, infrastructure investment, and improving ease of doing business to sustain economic momentum amid external pressures.
