Uttarakhand: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed immediate relief and rescue efforts after heavy rainfall and a cloudburst caused significant damage in the Naugaon area of Uttarkashi district.

Upon receiving information about the incident, CM Dhami spoke to the District Magistrate and instructed that operations be carried out on a war footing. Teams from the district administration, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been dispatched to the affected areas.

The Chief Minister has ordered that all affected residents be quickly moved to safe locations and assured that there should be “no delay whatsoever” in providing assistance.

“I pray to God for the safe well-being of all,” CM Dhami said, emphasising the government’s commitment to extend every possible help to those impacted by the disaster.
