Crackdown on LPG hoarding, raids ordered

Dehradun: Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan has issued strict instructions to officials, taking a tough stand against hoarding and black marketing of LPG gas and other essential commodities. He stated that such activities will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Raids and stock checks to be intensified

The Chief Secretary directed officials to conduct regular raids, stock checks, and surveillance to prevent illegal gas sales and hoarding. The concerned officials also presented details of the actions taken so far and the FIRs registered.

Gas supply to be uninterrupted

He asked the District Magistrates to continuously seek feedback on the gas supply situation. He also gave clear instructions that under no circumstances should LPG supply to consumers be disrupted.

Surveillance and strictness to be increased

The Chief Secretary stated that the administration must remain vigilant and monitor the market to ensure gas is available to those in need and to completely stop black marketing.
