Investigation Reveals Negligence
According to information, a coach of the Nanda Devi Express derailed during shunting on the evening of February 23rd. The accident occurred when the train was moving an additional coach to platform number 5. The train collided with a wall due to the loco pilot’s inaccuracy in receiving appropriate information. Action Based on a Joint Investigation Report
Following the incident, several officials, including the DRM, arrived at the scene and an investigation was ordered. A joint team of operating, PWI, loco, and signal departments prepared a report of over 25 pages and sent it to the Moradabad Division. The report confirmed the shunting master’s negligence, based on which a charge sheet has been issued.
