Delhi Man Kills Wife with Gas Cylinder After Dispute

New Delhi:  A woman was allegedly murdered by her husband in South Delhi’s Pul Prahladpur area following a domestic dispute. The accused reportedly struck his wife on the head with a mini LPG cylinder, leading to her immediate death.

The deceased has been identified as Poonam, while her husband Suresh was arrested at the scene by Delhi Police.

Incident Witnessed by Toddler
The couple had moved into a DDA housing complex just a month ago and had two children. While one child lives with their grandmother, their 18-month-old toddler was present in the house at the time of the incident.

Neighbours said they rushed to the spot after hearing the woman’s screams. The door was locked from inside and had to be broken open. Inside, they found the woman lying on the floor, while the accused was sitting nearby holding the child.

Suspicion Likely Motive, Probe On
Preliminary investigation suggests that extreme suspicion may have triggered the crime. Police have launched a detailed probe to determine whether the murder was premeditated.

Series of Domestic Crimes Raise Concern
The incident comes amid a rise in domestic homicide cases in the National Capital Region. Earlier this month, a man was arrested for killing his wife and three children in another shocking case, which is still under investigation.
