DC Jalandhar Reviews Progress Of Lamma Pind-Janu Singha Road: Complete construction of 500 meeter long stretch by December end

Jalandhar:  Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today visited Hoshiarpur Road to oversee ongoing project of widening and four-laning of this highway. The Deputy Commissioner has directed the Public Works Department to complete road construction of about 500 meeter long stretch at this highway where electric polls have been shifted by the PSPCL. He has ordered.

Jalandhar:  Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today visited Hoshiarpur Road to oversee ongoing project of widening and four-laning of this highway. The Deputy Commissioner has directed the Public Works Department to complete road construction of about 500 meeter long stretch at this highway where electric polls have been shifted by the PSPCL. He has ordered completion at this stretch by the end of December so that people of the city can get some relief while using this Road. Dr. Aggarwal emphasized that in view of shifting of electric polls, the completion of this 500 meeter long stretch adjoining city area to be completed at the earliest. He stressed that the work must be completed before winters i.e. before closure of hotmix plant.

The DC underscored the urgent need to complete thid project at the earliest to benefit the large number of commuters who use this roads on a daily basis. He highlighted the significance of five kilometers stretch of Lamma Pind-Jandu Singha Road wherein he directed the officials of PSPCL to shift their remaining electric poles immediately so that widening of this road can be completed timely. He also stated that completion of this project will facilitate traffic flow between Jalandhar and Hoshiarpur as a large number of commuters from the city area will be able take this route without going to Rama Mandi for their travel to Hoshiarpur.

The Deputy Commissioner further stated that he will be personally monitoring the pace of this work and any kind of inordinate delay will be highly unwarranted. Officials from PSPCL, Water Supply & Sewerage Board, PWD were also present in the meeting.
