Father-Daughter Duo Preparing For Soldier Recruitment Exam Die In Separate Incidents; Gorakhpur Cheating Case Triggers Action, Hapur Cops Suspended

The second day of the UP 32,679 Constable Recruitment-2025 exam is today, Tuesday. For the first shift exam, candidates were allowed entry into the exam hall after strict checking. Admit cards, biometric matching, and retina scans were conducted. In Hathras, female candidates were checked after opening their hair buns.

In Lucknow, earrings were removed. In Jaunpur, necklaces, bangles, and bracelets were removed. In Kanpur, candidates were checked with their mouths open. In Varanasi, a father who was taking his daughter to the exam on a bike was hit by an unknown vehicle. Both died on the spot.

Earlier, on Monday, 962,000 candidates were called in two shifts, but only 723,000 turned up for the exam. About 239,000 candidates left the exam. In Hapur, a candidate was found with a mobile phone. In the case of negligence, six police officers, including two sub-inspectors, were suspended.

In Gorakhpur, a candidate from Bihar, Ram Prakash, arrived hiding a mobile in his underwear. During the exam, a teacher on duty became suspicious of him. Upon checking, the mobile was found with him. Today, an FIR has been filed against him.

The exam in the first shift will run from 10 AM to 12 PM. Similarly, in the second shift, the exam will run from 3 PM to 5 PM. Over three days (8th, 9th, and 10th June), more than 2.8 million candidates will take the exam at 1,183 exam centers in all 75 districts.

The notification was issued on 31 December 2025 for 32,679 constable and equivalent posts. Online applications were held till 30th January 2026. A total of 29.45 lakh candidates had applied. During the scrutiny, 60,000 applications were rejected.
Admit cards of 28 lakh 85 thousand candidates have been issued. The written exam will be of 300 marks. 150 questions will be asked. Each question will be of number 2. This time the negative marking system has been abolished.
Only candidates who pass the written examination will be able to appear in the physical test. Men will have to complete the 4.8 km race in 25 minutes and women will have to complete the 2.4 km race in 14 minutes. After this, the final result will be declared.
