Finance employee attacked in Ludhiana, beaten by youths over installment dispute

An attack on an employee of a finance company has come to light in Ludhiana. Due to an old rivalry, 10-12 youths surrounded and brutally beat the employee. The injured employee has filed a police complaint.

Moti Nagar police station has registered a case against three named and other unidentified accused and has initiated an investigation.

Works as a collector at IDFC Bank

Complainant Sagar, a resident of Shera Colony on Tibba Road, stated that he works as a collector at IDFC Bank. On March 19, 2026, he was returning home on his motorcycle after work.

According to Sagar, when he reached near the water tank near Sherpur Chowk, 10-12 youths riding 4-5 motorcycles approached him.

The accused arrived with sharp weapons

The victim alleged that the youths were armed with sharp weapons. They surrounded him and began assaulting him. He sustained serious injuries in the attack.

Sagar stated that he recognized Aman, Ashu, and Rahul among the attackers.

Activa seized due to outstanding installments

According to Sagar, some time ago he seized Aman’s Activa due to outstanding installments and deposited it at the Mullapur yard of Hinduja Bank. This Activa was in the name of a young man named Kirti.

The victim alleges that due to this enmity, Rahul called him on some pretext and, along with his associates, orchestrated the attack.

The police have registered a case against Aman, Ashu, Rahul, and other accused and have initiated further action.
