Huge fire breaks out at hosiery shop in Ludhiana; accident likely due to short circuit

Last night in Ludhiana, Punjab, a huge fire suddenly broke out in a hosiery garments shop in Purani Madhopuri Gali No. 3. Seeing the smoke coming out, the people nearby immediately informed the owner of the shop. People also tried to extinguish the fire themselves, but the fire increased so much that people from nearby buildings also had to be evacuated from shops and houses.

The flames of fire were visible from a long distance

The flames of fire were visible from a long distance. Due to the fire, the whole area was filled with smoke. According to the people, when the fire broke out suddenly, there was chaos in the whole area. There are many other hosiery units in this area, due to which there was a lot of fear among all the people. About 3 water tenders of the fire department controlled the fire.

Fire department personnel reached the spot. They controlled the fire after working hard for more than 2 hours. A lot of garments were burnt to ashes. According to the fire brigade personnel, the actual cause of the fire is not yet known, but most hosiery units or shops catch fire due to a short circuit.

Fire was controlled by 11.30 pm

Due to the fire, many electrical wires etc., have also been burnt. There is no estimate yet about the extent of damage. The fire brigade arrived on time; otherwise, the fire could have spread to the nearby buildings as well. Currently, the fire was controlled by 11.30 pm.
