Fire Services Day in Almora, Tribute to Martyrs Paid

Almora, April 14: A program was organized at the Almora Fire Station premises on Fire Service Day. Led by Chief Fire Officer Narendra Singh Kunwar, the event paid tribute to fire service personnel who were martyred while on duty. During the ceremony, a two-minute silence was observed, and floral wreaths were laid.

The occasion also marked the commencement of Fire Safety Week, during which an awareness campaign will be conducted. To mark the event, fire service vehicles were flagged off and dispatched to various parts of the district.

Awareness Rally Held in Almora Market

On the first day of the campaign, an awareness rally was held in the Almora market under the leadership of fire station in-charge Mukesh Chandra Chaturvedi. During the rally, the fire team distributed banners and pamphlets, providing the public with detailed information regarding fire prevention measures.

Throughout the week, the Fire Department will organize various programs related to fire safety at different institutions across the district. The objective of this initiative is to raise public awareness regarding fire prevention and safety.
