First flight departs from Halwara Airport, Ludhiana to Delhi now takes just 1 hour

Ludhiana: The first flight departed from Halwara Airport in Ludhiana, Punjab today. The first flight from Delhi landed at the airport at 7:05 am, while the first flight from Ludhiana to Delhi departed at 7:55 am. Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu also arrived in Ludhiana on the first flight. Air India will now operate two flights daily.

Reaching Delhi in just 1 hour and 15 minutes

Journeys from Halwara to Delhi will now be much easier. Passengers can reach Delhi in approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes by flight, compared to the 6-hour road journey. According to the Airports Authority of India, passengers must arrive at the airport 90 minutes before the flight.

The Delhi-Ludhiana economy class fare will be between ₹4,000 and ₹5,000. Advance booking can help you get cheaper tickets.

* The first flight from Delhi will depart at 5:55 am and arrive in Halwara at 7:05 am.

* The flight from Ludhiana will depart at 7:55 am and arrive in Delhi at 9:10 am.

* The second flight will depart from Delhi at 12:55 pm and arrive in Halwara at 2:10 pm.

* The return flight will depart at 2:40 pm and arrive in Delhi at 3:55 pm.

Halwara Airport has a longer runway and a CAT-II navigation system, allowing for safe flight operations even in dense fog. Halwara Airport will now become the primary hub, replacing the old Sahnewal Airport.
