Fog Affect: Hyderabad flight could not land in Lucknow; diverted to Delhi

Fog in the capital, Lucknow, on Wednesday morning disrupted flight operations. An Indigo flight from Hyderabad to Lucknow was unable to land at the Lucknow airport and had to be diverted to Delhi. Furthermore, several flights departing from Lucknow were delayed for hours. Due to the ongoing war between Iran and Israel, several international flights to and from the Gulf countries were also cancelled on Wednesday.

Airport sources stated that visibility at Lucknow airport was low due to fog that had been prevalent since morning. Consequently, the Indigo flight (6E 608) that arrived in Lucknow from Hyderabad at 8:05 am was unable to land. Due to low visibility, the flight was denied landing permission from ATC. It was later diverted to Delhi.

An Indigo flight (6E 2108) scheduled for 6:10 am from Lucknow to Delhi was delayed by approximately one hour, while a Flynes flight (XY 897) scheduled for 6:15 am to Dammam departed at 9:05 am. Similarly, IndiGo flight 6E 325, scheduled to depart from Lucknow for Bengaluru at 8:45 am, took off after a quarter of an hour at 10 am.

Meanwhile, due to the ongoing war between Iran and Israel, IndiGo’s international flight 6E 1416, scheduled to arrive in Lucknow from Abu Dhabi at 6:05 am, was cancelled. Similarly, IndiGo flight 6E 1424, scheduled to arrive in Lucknow from Sharjah at 7:05 am, was also cancelled.

Furthermore, IndiGo flight 6E 98, scheduled to arrive in Lucknow from Dammam at 8 pm, was also cancelled. IndiGo flight 6E 1415, scheduled to depart from Lucknow for Abu Dhabi at 8:35 pm, was also cancelled. Similarly, IndiGo flight 6E 97, scheduled to depart from Dammam at 9 pm, and IndiGo flight 6E 1423, scheduled to depart from Sharjah at 10 pm, were also cancelled.
