Fresh snowfall in Gangotri-Yamunotri, rain in lower Uttarkashi

Yamunotri: The weather in Uttarakhand district has taken a sudden turn. Snowfall was recorded in the higher elevations and intermittent rain in the lower elevations. The plummeting temperatures forced people to wear warm clothing once again.

Light snowfall in Gangotri and Yamunotri

Light snowfall occurred at the Gangotri Temple and Yamunotri Temple Dham on Sunday evening.

Meanwhile, rain continued in all the tehsil areas of the district, especially the district headquarters, Uttarkashi.

Snow in the Ganga and Yamuna Valleys

Light snowfall was recorded in the Ganga Valley from Gangotri Dham to Harsil.

There have been reports of snowfall in the Yamuna Valley from Yamunotri Dham to Kharsali.

Winter-like cold returns

Due to rain and snowfall, winter-like conditions have once again prevailed in the district. The drop in temperatures has made people feel the cold.
