Delhi Police Arrest Two Goldy Brar-Lipin Nehra Gang Operatives, Seize Six Firearms

New Delhi: The Delhi Police Crime Branch on Tuesday arrested two alleged operatives of the Goldy Brar-Lipin Nehra gang and recovered a cache of illegal weapons during a joint operation aimed at dismantling organised crime networks operating in the National Capital Region (NCR).

The accused, identified as Randeep alias Rinku (36) and Hitesh Kumar (23), residents of Haryana’s Jhajjar and Rewari districts, were apprehended by the Crime Branch’s Anti-Gangster Squad (AGS). Police also seized a Toyota Hilux vehicle used by the accused.

Six Firearms and Live Cartridges Recovered

According to Delhi Police, the operation led to the recovery of six sophisticated firearms, two single-shot pistols and eight live cartridges.

Investigators said the accused allegedly acted as key operatives responsible for supplying illegal weapons and delivering extortion money on the instructions of gangster Lipin Nehra. They are also suspected of involvement in multiple extortion-related firing incidents in Haryana.

Gang Linked to Extortion Cases

Police said one of the accused had allegedly threatened a Haryana-based businessman and demanded ₹1 crore in extortion on behalf of the gang. The threats were reportedly issued last year under the directions of Lipin Nehra.

During the investigation, officials found that the gang’s operations were allegedly being coordinated by Lipin Nehra, who is believed to be operating from Canada and communicating with associates in India through encrypted messaging applications.

The arrested duo had allegedly been assigned the task of collecting consignments of illegal arms and ammunition for the syndicate.

Probe Underway to Trace Arms Network

Acting on specific intelligence, the Anti-Gangster Squad laid a trap near UER-II at Tajpur in Dwark a and intercepted the suspects while they were travelling in the Toyota Hilux. Police said the accused attempted to flee but were overpowered and arrested.

Investigators are now questioning the duo to identify the source of the recovered weapons, trace other members of the gang and uncover the network involved in smuggling illegal arms and carrying out extortion activities.

The police are also examining how the weapons were procured and transported for use in gang-related crimes across Delhi and neighbouring states.
