Embrace victory of good over evil: Governor Gulab Chand Kataria extend wishes for Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas

Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria extended wishes on the occasion of Diwali and Bandi Chor Diwas. In a video message, he shared greetings for the people of Punjab.

He said that may this auspicious occasion bring light, peace, prosperity, and goodwill into our lives. He further wished that we should all embrace the message of victory of good over evil, light over darkness, and peace over conflict.

Historic Significance of Bandi Chhor Diwas

The guru and the princes arrived in Amritsar during Diwali festivities. Since then, the Bandi Chhor Diwas and Diwali celebrations have coincided at the Golden Temple complex.

Festive Atmosphere Across Punjab and Chandigarh

Elsewhere in Punjab, gurdwaras and markets wore a festive look. Hundreds of people thronged various markets in Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Patiala, Amritsar, and other towns.

The festival spirit for Diwali could also be seen in Chandigarh and towns and cities in Haryana.
