Businessman Accused of Molesting Female Gym Trainer in Jalandhar, Police Detain Suspect

Jalandhar: A businessman allegedly molested a female gym trainer. The woman stated that there were several people present in the gym at the time; amidst this, the accused suddenly approached her from behind and grabbed her.

Subsequently, he engaged in obscene acts. She immediately protested against this behavior and raised an alarm. Other people present in the gym were also left stunned upon witnessing the incident. She promptly reported the matter by calling the police helpline, 112.

Upon the police’s arrival at the scene, she recounted her ordeal to them. The police have registered a case, taken the accused businessman into custody, and are currently interrogating him.

A significant number of people were present in the gym

According to reports, a case of molestation involving a female trainer surfaced last night at a gym in Jalandhar. The incident occurred while a large number of people were present in the gym and the female trainer was performing her duties.

It is reported that, during this time, a prominent businessman entered the gym and began behaving inappropriately toward the female trainer. It is alleged that he suddenly grabbed the woman from behind and proceeded to engage in obscene acts.

Woman raises alarm following obscene acts

The female trainer immediately resisted the assault and raised an alarm. Other individuals present in the gym were left shocked upon witnessing the incident. Subsequently, displaying great courage, the woman immediately called the police on the 112 helpline to provide full details of the incident.

Upon receiving the information, a police team from Division No. 6 Police Station arrived at the scene. The police assessed the situation and took the accused identified as Honey Randhawa into custody right there at the spot. He was then taken to the police station, where interrogation and legal formalities continued late into the night.

Police investigating the case

Inspector Rajwant Kaur stated that the matter is currently under investigation and the woman will be summoned shortly to record her statement. Further action will be taken thereafter. Based on the preliminary information received, an FIR has been registered, and the accused has been arrested. Efforts are being made to secure the CCTV footage from the gym in order to strengthen the evidence.
