Father Of Two Found Dead in Haridwar Garden

Haridwar, April 12: The discovery of a young man’s body under suspicious circumstances in Haridwar has caused a stir in the area. Upon receiving news of the discovery, a large crowd of locals gathered at the scene. The police, arriving promptly after being alerted, took custody of the body, sent it for a post-mortem examination, and have initiated a thorough investigation into the matter.

The incident occurred near Sati Kund in the Kankhal area. According to locals, the young man was spotted lying in a suspicious state within an orchard near Sati Kund. Upon approaching to investigate, he was found to be deceased, following which the police were immediately informed. As news of the incident spread, residents from the surrounding areas flocked to the scene in large numbers, creating a sensation throughout the entire locality.

Identification of the Deceased; Family Plunged into Grief

Police investigations have identified the deceased as 36-year-old Vikas Kashyap son of Rakesh Kumar a resident of Sarva Priya Vihar, Sati Kund. It is reported that Vikas was married and is survived by two young children. Upon receiving the tragic news, the family was plunged into deep mourning and his relatives are inconsolable with grief.

Drug Injections Recovered from the Scene

The police team has recovered several injections from the crime scene. It is suspected that these were used for drug consumption. Prima facie, the case appears to be a death caused by a drug overdose; however, the police are conducting an investigation while keeping all angles in consideration.

Devendra Singh Rawat, the SHO of Kankhal Police Station, stated that no external injury marks were found on the body. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. The actual cause of death will be revealed only after the report is received.

Currently, the police are questioning the deceased’s friends and acquaintances, and information regarding his activities is being gathered.
