New Delhi: Rajya Sabha member and Congress veteran Randeep Singh Surjewala has once again staked claim for the post of Chief Minister. Surjewala has expressed his desire to become the Chief Minister by giving a statement in a press conference held on Tuesday.
Surjewala said that staking one’s claim is acceptable in democracy. At the same time, Selja Kumari and Bhupendra Hooda have also shown their desire to become CM. The final decision on the same will be made by the party high command.
Let us tell you that his son and Congress candidate from Kaithal assembly seat Aditya Surjewala had said that he wishes his father become the Chief Minister if the Congress government is formed.
In response to this, Randeep said “who will become the Chief Minister is the aspiration of every person. Surjewala said that I, Kumari Selja, who is my elder sister, Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh Hooda want to become CM. Apart from us three, any other partner also has this right, there is democracy here. Ultimately this decision is taken by Rahul Gandhi and Mallika Arjun Kharge, whatever decision they take, we all will accept it.”
On former Chief Minister Manohar Lal congratulating Kumari Selja on Twitter, Randeep Surjewala said that these things have no weight. I respect the former Chief Minister, he is like a father to me, because of his age, but he is talking childishly. Kumari Selja was, is, and will remain a Congressman.
