Congress MLA and female wrestler Vinesh Phogat of Julana constituency of Jind, Haryana, scolded the officials. On Monday, MLA Vinesh Phogat reached the new grain market of Julana. As soon as she reached the gate of the market, she started inquiring about the weighing of scales. Vinesh Phogat said that there are constant complaints about the weighing scales in the market that the weighing scales of the market are not proper. In such a situation, farmers are forced to get the weighing done outside. This is directly affecting the pockets of the farmers.
Responding to Vinesh Phogat, Deputy Secretary of Market Committee Sikander Sangwan said that farmers are being given slips along with the weighing, but there is a shortage of staff. The officer said that the demand had been sent to the government. It will be available soon.
MLA Vinesh Phogat said that a trolley should be weighed on all the scales of the market, so that it can be checked whether all the scales of the market are working smoothly or not. When Vinod, a farmer from Chidi village, reached the market with his crop, his trolley was weighed on both the scales of the market.
It was found that there is a difference of two quintals in both the scales in the market, on which Vinesh Phogat got angry and asked the officials how there is so much difference. On this, the officials said that the scales were evaluated yesterday evening, in which all the scales were found to be fine. Both the scales will be repaired soon. The MLA said that the scales should be checked every evening, if there is any problem, get it fixed immediately.
