Nuh: Nuh police made the second arrest in the encounter case between cow protectors and cow smugglers on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in the limits of station Ferozepur Jhirka in Nuh, Haryana, on the morning of June 15. The arrested accused has been identified as Hanuman, alias Adhaman. The accused has been produced in court and taken on a three-day remand. In this encounter, a cow protector, Sonu alias Devendra, a resident of Fidedi district, Rewari, was seriously injured due to a bullet injury.
A Nuh police spokesperson said that the second arrest has been made in the cow smuggler and cow protector encounter case on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The arrested accused has been identified as Hanuman alias Adhaman Bagriyon ki Dhani, district Dudu, Rajasthan. The accused, Hanuman, was caught by the police on National Highway 48 in Dudu district last Friday. He has been produced in court and taken on a three-day police remand. One more accused is yet to be arrested in this case.
On June 15, the Gau Rakshak team received information that a Bolero pickup was coming from Jaipur to Delhi on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. In which cows are being smuggled. The information was given to the Gau Raksha staff. Accordingly, Gau Rakshak reached a road stop on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway with the police staff. The pickup coming from Rajasthan was signalled to stop.
The driver increased the speed of the vehicle. When the Gau Rakshaks chased them, the smugglers left the moving pickup and started running away. During this time, Gau Rakshak Sonu, alias Devendra, tried to catch the cow smuggler. But a smuggler sitting in the pickup shot Sonu. The pickup vehicle overturned on the side. Gau Rakshak Sonu was seriously injured. A cow smuggler was caught. Injured Gau Rakshak Sonu, alias Devendra, was admitted to Gurugram Medanta Hospital.
