‘We Are Ready to Talk’: Hemant Soren Invites Protesting Students for Dialogue Amid Ranchi Protest

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has invited protesting students in Ranchi for dialogue, saying his government is ready to discuss their concerns and find a solution to the ongoing recruitment-related agitation in the state. The invitation comes as the protest by JPSC and JSSC aspirants continues to gain momentum, with several students remaining on hunger strike.

CM Calls for Dialogue

Addressing the issue, Soren said the government is prepared to hold discussions with student representatives and urged protesters to engage in constructive dialogue. He maintained that communication is the best way to resolve grievances and assured students that their concerns would be heard.

Protest Over Recruitment Irregularities

The agitation, led by aspirants of Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) examinations, has entered its second week. Students have alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations and are demanding transparency, accountability and corrective measures from the state government.

Several protesters have been observing an indefinite hunger strike, while student organisations have intensified their campaign seeking direct intervention from the Chief Minister. One of the hunger-striking students was recently hospitalised after his health deteriorated.

Student Delegation Likely to Meet Government

In a move towards resolving the deadlock, protesting students have formed a delegation to hold talks with the state government. Reports suggest that representatives of the protesters may soon meet Chief Minister Hemant Soren to discuss their demands and explore a possible resolution.

The protest has also attracted political attention, with various leaders expressing support for the students and calling for a fair investigation into the alleged recruitment irregularities.
