The process of filling the teacher and non-teacher posts which have been vacant for a long time in Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University Palampur has started. The university management has issued a notification of recruitment by issuing three separate advertisements. In this, the announcement has been made to fill 37 assistant professors and 14 non-teaching posts.
The last date for application has been kept as 8 August, while candidates from tribal areas can apply till 23 August. Students and staff were angry due to the vacancy of these posts. The ABVP unit of the university had also raised this issue before the Governor recently.
According to sources, the posts were vacant for a long time but could not be filled due to the weak financial condition of the university. Vice Chancellor Prof. Naveen Kumar said that the process of filling the posts of assistant professor and non-teaching in various departments has been started. Eligible candidates should apply by the prescribed date.
Public Service Commission will conduct Forest Service Preliminary Examination on September 7
Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission has officially announced the date of State Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination-2025. The preliminary examination will be held on 7 September 2025 (Sunday) in a single session from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The examination will be conducted at designated centers in Shimla, Mandi and Dharamshala in Kangra.
