WD to bring light rain and snowfall in Himachal Pradesh

Western Disturbance (WD) is becoming active again in Himachal Pradesh from today. Due to this, light snowfall may occur in the higher areas of Chamba and Lahaul Spiti districts today.

Shimla: Western Disturbance (WD) is becoming active again in Himachal Pradesh from today. Due to this, light snowfall may occur in the higher areas of Chamba and Lahaul Spiti districts today. The weather is forecast to remain clear in other areas.

Tomorrow i.e. on 26th March, light rain and snowfall may occur in some parts of Chamba, Kangra, Kinnaur and Kullu. Day after tomorrow i.e. on 27th March, rain and snowfall is expected in 7 districts of the state. The weather will become clear across the state from 28th March.

Before the rain and snowfall, there has been a significant rise in temperature. The maximum temperature of the state has become 3 degrees more than normal. The temperature of many cities has become 6 degrees more than normal.

Kalpa’s temperature increased by 6.4 degrees from normal

The temperature in Kalpa has increased by the maximum of 6.4 degrees compared to normal. The temperature here has reached 18.7 degrees Celsius.

The temperature of Bhuntar in Kullu has also increased by 5.9 degrees to 29.2 degrees, the temperature of Manali has increased by 5.1 degrees to 22.8 degrees and the maximum temperature of Shimla has increased by 4.1 degrees to 21.5 degrees Celsius. There will be a slight decrease in temperature after rain and snowfall.

19% less rain and snowfall than normal in March

There was good rain and snowfall in the first week of March in the state. But the second and third week were dry. Due to this, till March 24, the state has received 19 percent less rain and snowfall than normal. From 1 to 23 March, the normal rainfall in the state is 93.6 mm, but this time 75.7 mm of rain has fallen.
