Washington DC, July 19: On Saturday, a car driver rammed his car into a crowd in Los Angeles, California, USA. 20 people were injured in this accident, 10 of whom are in critical condition. The accident took place at around 2 am local time on West Santa Monica Boulevard, which is near a music venue.
The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) team told the media that work was underway to take the injured to the hospital.
Authorities have not yet identified the vehicle or the driver. It is also not clear if the accident was intentional or accidental.
In a viral video on social media, dozens of firefighters and policemen are seen at the scene. A grey car is seen in a damaged condition on the road, with debris scattered around it.
A woman heard a gunshot before the accident
Some people present at the spot at the time of the accident said that suddenly a speeding car entered the crowd, causing chaos. LAFD and police have cordoned off the area and have appealed to people not to go there.
The woman said she heard a gunshot before the car rammed into the crowd. She said the driver stayed in the car after the accident but was later caught and thrown to the ground by security guards.

These fans were taking out a victory parade on Liverpool Football Club’s victory in the Premier League. A 53-year-old accused was arrested in this case. Police had ruled out the possibility of a terrorist attack in the incident. About 10 lakh people participated in this parade.
