Jammu: Police pelted with stones in Pasgal village; drug traffickers Billa Gurjar and Sudam Hussain escaped

In the village of Pasgal within the region, a large mob belonging to a specific community pelted stones at the Arnia police force, which had arrived to apprehend drug traffickers. The police team, including Station House Officer Dilawar Kumar, was forced to flee the scene to save their lives. Billa Gurjar and Sudam Hussain henchmen of Lahu Gurjar, who feature on the police’s ‘hit list’, managed to escape.

The police had received intelligence indicating that Billa Gurjar and Sudam Hussain had arrived in the area. Led by SHO Dilawar Kumar, the team initiated a raid on their hideouts; however, a massive crowd comprising members of a specific community gathered at the location.

Following an intense barrage of stone-pelting, the police were compelled to suspend their operation and retreat.

SHO Dilawar Kumar stated that the raid was conducted based on information regarding the presence of drug traffickers in the region. A large number of individuals from a specific community assembled and began pelting stones. The team withdrew from the scene, keeping their safety in mind.

Both accused individuals remain on the police’s ‘hit list,’ and a manhunt for them is currently underway. The police are proceeding with further legal action.
