Joint Opposition Protest in Chandigarh Over Randhawa Suicide Case

Chandigarh: The Congress, BJP, and Shiromani Akali Dal held a joint protest in Chandigarh on Sunday over the Gagandeep Singh Randhawa suicide case. The opposition parties demanded the immediate arrest of former AAP minister Laljit Singh Bhullar and a CBI investigation into the matter.

Demand for Arrest of Former AAP Minister
Opposition leaders alleged that Punjab Warehousing Corporation official Gagandeep Singh Randhawa was being pressured by the former minister and his associates. The family also demanded the immediate arrest of all accused.

Strong Demand for CBI Investigation Raised
The opposition said that the case involved political pressure and abuse of power, and therefore, it should be handed over to the CBI for a fair investigation. They say that state agencies cannot be trusted.

Uproar over stopping march to CM’s residence
During the protest, opposition leaders wanted to march towards Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s residence, but police barricaded them, creating a tense situation.

Case becomes major political issue
This case has now become a major controversy in Punjab politics. Opposition parties have accused the AAP government of corruption, pressure on officials, and deteriorating law and order.
