Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann to Visit Gujarat for Poll Preparations

Arvind Kejriwal, National Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Bhagwant Mann, AAP Punjab President and former Chief Minister, is scheduled to visit Gujarat on February 21–22, 2026 to review preparations ahead of upcoming local body elections in the state.

The visit reflects AAP’s focus on strengthening its organizational strategy and ground-level planning as it contests civic polls across multiple districts in Gujarat later this year.

 Agenda of the Gujarat Visit

During their two-day tour, Kejriwal and Mann are expected to:

• Meet strategists, volunteers and local leaders to assess preparedness.

• Visit key urban centers where AAP is aiming to improve its electoral footprint.

• Evaluate booth-level planning and campaign momentum ahead of polling dates.

Party sources said that the leadership will also interact with AAP workers and volunteers to boost morale and finalize campaign efforts.

 Importance for AAP in Gujarat

Gujarat’s local body elections are seen as an important political battleground where AAP seeks to expand its influence beyond its core bases in Delhi and Punjab. A strong performance in civic polls could help the party build organizational depth and voter connect ahead of state assembly elections in the future.

The party has been campaigning on issues including public services, transparency at local levels, sanitation, water supply and civic infrastructure, aiming to challenge dominant regional political players.
