Aurangabad (Bihar), July 5: Just 45 days after marriage, a wife, along with her lover and uncle, got her husband murdered. This sensational case reminds of the Meghalaya honeymoon murder case, which shook the whole country.
Husband shot dead, had an illicit relationship with uncle
According to the police, a woman named Gunja Devi had a love affair with her 55-year-old maternal uncle, Jeevan Singh. The family was against this relationship, due to which Gunja was forcibly married to a young man named Priyanshu.
On June 25, Priyanshu was returning after meeting his sister and asked someone to send his wife to drop her home from the station. While going home from Navi Nagar station, two shooters shot him.
The secret was revealed from Gunja’s call details
As soon as the police started investigating, Gunja tried to flee from the village, which made the family of the deceased suspicious. Police checked Gunja’s call details, in which she was constantly in touch with her maternal uncle Jeevan Singh.
Police said that there was constant conversation between Jeevan Singh and the shooters, which revealed the murder conspiracy.
Three arrested, search for uncle continues
Superintendent of Police (SP) Amrish Rahul said that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed to investigate this case. So far Gunja Devi and two shooters have been arrested, while uncle Jeevan Singh is absconding.
