Haryana has faith only on PM Modi: Amit Shah after BJP sweeps local body polls

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday  expressed gratitude after the BJP recorded a massive victory in the Haryana local body elections. In his social media post on X, Shah wrote “After the landslide victory in the Haryana Assembly elections, I am very grateful to the people of Haryana for giving their blessings.

In his social media post on X, Shah wrote “After the landslide victory in the Haryana Assembly elections, I am very grateful to the people of Haryana for giving their blessings to the BJP in the Municipal Corporation and Municipal Body elections as well. Under the leadership of Modi ji, the BJP has become the first choice of the people from the ward to the Vidhan Sabha and from the Panchayat to the Parliament.”

“I heartily congratulate Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini ji, State President Mohan Lal Badauli ji and all the workers for this victory,” Shah said.

Haryana Minister Anil Vij on Wednesday said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won 25 seats out of 32 in the municipal elections. The ruling party also managed to win the mayoral post from Ambala, along with eight other places in the state.

 The BJP has swept the elections to local bodies, with its candidates winning mayoral posts in nine places, including Rohtak, Sonipat, Gurugram, Faridabad, Panipat, Yamunanagar, Ambala, Hisar and Karnal. The voting took place on March 2.
