The Bhakra Dam continues to pose a threat. The water level in the dam is just one foot away from the danger mark. Water is being released continuously from the dam, due to which the bandhs are under threat due to high water flow at many places. Ludhiana district administration has issued an alert due to very high water flow near the village Sasrali (Ludhiana East Area).
Continuous efforts are being made to protect and strengthen the dams. However, if there is any crack or damage in the dams, the following villages may be affected and there is a risk of flooding.

The district administration has issued an alert for the villages of Sasrali, Bunt, Rawat, Hawas, Seeda, Boothgarh, Mangli Tanda, Dheri, Khawajke, Khasi Khurd, Mangli Kadar, Mattewara, Mangat, and Meharban.

Stay on high alert and monitor the situation.
If your house is two-storeyed, stay on the first floor for safety.
If you live in a low-lying area or a one-storey house, vacate the house for a short time and move to a safe place.
Keep your important documents and important belongings in waterproof bags so that they can be taken with you immediately if needed.
First of all, take the elderly, children and sick people to safe places.
